Missed approach but here’s an update

Hi everyone.  Wow, where does the time go?  I’m way over due for another post and so many important dates have also passed.  Here’s a list of what I’ve missed.  My birthday 2016, Black Friday haul 2016, my 5 year Tory Burch anniversary, Christmas 2016 and blah blah blah, the list goes on.  Let me reassure you nothing has changed.  Other than being a bit older, I still am doing “what I love doing.”

Where to start.  Humm.  In November I had a great time in Arizona.  Yes that is a long time ago already, in fact I’m head back to AZ in a few days.  Ya time goes by fast.  Back to AZ from November for a second.  A very good friend of mine asked me to buy him a pair of Tieks.  Have you heard of these?  They are super cute flats that come in many colours and have those iconic teal blue soles.  He wanted the California blue ones.  OMG they are so cute and very versatile.  I know they look way better on him than me

Not wanting to feel left out I also did some shopping for myself. I bought these super feminine Tory Burch Gemini Link Minnie flats.  So cute, right!

2016 was the year of pink for me so I also added these Dark Peony (pink) Minnies.   It is so hard to capture the true colour of these flats but trust me, they are pink!

As I mentioned my friends Tieks were California blue so not wanting to feel left out I bought myself these navy TB Minnies.

When I got home from AZ Black Friday was over but I had spoken with my local Calgary TB SA during that time and did a bit of on-line over the phone shopping.  Yup you guessed it.  More TB’s items.

These fabulous tortoise flats.

And these AMAZING sunglasses.

The day I picked up my Calgary post Black Friday shopping items I went for a super lunch date with my TB SA and friends I was given this amazing Tory Burch purse/man bag.  Yes friends, I now carry a purse.

In fact, I’ve since bought myself a second purse.  This one was bought at MacCain.  Why MarcCain you ask?  That’s where my first Calgary TB sales girl works and while she still has my Tory interests in mind she also wants me to broaden my fashion sense.

Sorry for the long delay between posts.  Hope are my friends are well

2017 update – My first purchase of 2017 was these retro pink TB Minnie’s.  That’s right! Another pair of pink flats.

    Hi Bri,

I really missed your wonderful posts, now I know you are fine and enjoying those gorgeous minnie travels flats, hard to decide which is the most beautiful, if I had more bucks I definitely would buy all of them! comfort and beauty together in those flats. The pink minnies are adorable maybe I will dare to get a pair and wear them outdoors this summer do you remember the phrase of our good friend Carmen: “Flamingo males are pink” so I will try that color soon.

Purses are a great addition to our outfit and more practical , I got one that I can wear like you as a crossbody bag and also like a Kangaroo pouch purse, I love to wear them when travelling cause I can keep and eye better to my belongings and money. I also have an Adidas purse that I wear mostly in summer when I carry more stuff to the office.

It’s great that you keep contact with your former TB SA, ladies in general are more kind, open minded and supportive in matters of fashion and they always give you great advice how to match our clothes with our flats and sandals. Having good friends is a treasure !

You look great on your friend’s Tieks, I still wear my 3 pairs of Tieks and recently I got a used pair of Tieks in good shape in chestnut color, I will pot an update when those beauties will arrive. I also got 2 pairs of Indian flats (Khussas) very colorful and beautiful. I will do and update of my new flats like you soon.

Glad to read again your post I wish you a nice weekend !

Hi Ivan. Hope there is a pair of pink Tory’s in your future. Tory has some great shades of pink flats these days. Can’t wait to view your Tieks update

Hi Bri! What is your size? I saw your collections… they are so gorgeous on your feets. I can’t decide what size for me. 7.5 look pretty on my feet yet hurt… 8 is so comfy yet look loose and dont hold my feet tight. any advice? Thanks

Hi Fania. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving your kind words. I’m a size 10.5 in most Tory flats but the TB Reva style I wear an 11. Is it the Minnie’s you are thinking of getting? The Minnie’s will stretch a bit but not too much. If the 7.5 hurt I’d say go with the 8’s. You can always put a heel pad in to make the 8’s fit a bit tighter on your foot. Some of my Minnie’s look loose on my feet too but they don’t feel like they will fall off. There does seem to be a bit of size difference with my Minnie’s depending on when they were made. My Minnie’s from 2 years ago fit much looser than the Minnie’s made more recent. Please let me know which colour and pair you are thinking about getting and made I can give you more accurate advice.

      Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

Hi Bri! Well, where do I start? Happy Birthday, Happy TB Anniversary, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Valentine’s Day, Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I’m sure you have a pair of flats for every occasion! 🙂 Honestly, I don’t know how anyone can get along without a purse. Pockets are not big enough!

Have a lovely time in AZ.
    Bon Voyage!

Hi Carmen. Thanks for all the well wishes for all the important dates that have passed. I “think” I do have a pair of flats for every one of these occasions.

I completely agree with you about the purse. It’s very functional for carrying keys, wallet, phone and a few other items when pockets just aren’t big enough. The thing I like most about my 2 new purses is the fact that both were picked out by my female friends. It means the world to me to think that these friends (and you Carmen) view me as a feminine enough guy to carry a purse. I’m not sure if I’ll ever own as many purses as I do flats but I do expect I won’t stop at just 2.

      Thanks for stopping by.

Here’s my St Patties Day flats.

      Hello my dear friend Carmen. Gosh, I guess I’d better start thinking about my July 1st 150th Canada Day outfit. Red and white flats for sure. Maybe something like this;

Hi Brian! Your fabulous photos convinced me to buy a pair of dark peony Minnie’s today. I am a plain black shoe kind of girl but you are an inspiration!

Hi Nerakdo. Thanks for your kind words. I’m glad I inspired you to step out of your comfort zone and add a pop of colour to your shoe collection. It was my Tory sales girl that inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and add some pink flats into my collection. Aren’t the dark peony Minnie’s a fabulous shade of pink? I’d love to see how yours look on you. Have you seen my latest pair of Minnie’s? I just picked up these super cute floral Minnie’s.

Thank you for your comments and please feel free to send or share a picture of yours.

I love your collection I only have 3 pairs of flats 2 black ones and a pink pair as a single straight male I don’t care if people make fun at me for wearing them and when I first got married now divorced I wore some flats my sister recommended I get just for the wedding

Thanks for your kind words about my collection. I think regardless if your a women or man you should have at least one black pair. They go with everything. Pink is also a great colour. My soft or pale pink pairs match my skin tone so they don’t really stand out and I find them an easy colour to wear. I do have a couple of bright pink pair that do draw attention to my feet and don’t go unnoticed . 👀 👀 👀

Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave comments or share pictures.

Hey Barry in your last comment you said “one last question.” Please feel free to ask anything you want. I don’t often wear socks with flats but I do once in awhile.

You get to wear your Retro pink to work! I’m so jealous. I find the retro pink colour easy to wear cuz it matches my skin tone. Do you find the same. Please feel free to share your thoughts or pictures with me.
